Spookiest House in Milton: the results
🏆 622 Sunnyvale Cres is the Spookiest House in Milton 2026
Winner of the Spookiest House in Milton 2026 plaque
Congratulations to the house on Sunnyvale Crescent, our very first Spookiest House in Milton! The plaque is headed their way. This is a home that goes all out every year and raises money for charity while it’s at it, so it’s a well-deserved win.
A huge thank-you to all nine homes that took part: Beaver Ct, Bennett Blvd, Childs Dr, Nightmare on Clark, The Hanging Tree on Hayward, The Witch of Joyce Boulevard, Speyer Cir, Sunnyvale Cres and The Crimson Porch on Thompson. You put in the hours, the fog machines and the extension cords, and you made October in Milton a lot more fun. And thank you to everyone who voted and drove around town to see them in person.

A 125.11 free skate put them first overall at 202.17, a little over two points ahead of the American silver medallists. 📛 Story behind the name
Ever wondered about Cedric Terrace and Wrigglesworth Crescent? Cedric Terrace honours the Harrop farming family of North Halton (Harrop Drive off Steeles is another nod). Wrigglesworth Crescent is named for a large local family. Its main namesake served in the war, became a well-known member of the community, and passed away in 1991. Local historian John Challinor II and the late Jim Dills covered Milton’s street names in their 2007 book Milton Streets. It’s out of print, but Milton Public Library still has a copy.

💛 Milton Kindness
A Milton store cashier’s Halloween kindness earned a big community shout-out this week, and plenty of neighbours chimed in to say she’s always that way. A friendly face at the checkout can make someone’s whole day. That’s Milton.
That’s it for today, Milton. Congratulations again to Sunnyvale, thank you to every home that decorated and everyone who voted, and we’ll see you Friday!
