Milton Crossroads plaza, 1216 Steeles Ave. E., near SportChek and Indigo

No opening dates have been announced yet, so we’ll keep an eye out.

Saturday has Tiny Tots Trick-or-Treat downtown, Renew Church’s Trunk or Treat, Halloween at Andrews Farm and the inclusive trick-or-treat street from 2 to 4pm. Legends & Lore

🏰 The ghosts of Town Hall
A Halloween tale from downtown

Milton’s Town Hall looks like a little stone castle, and it comes with ghost stories to match. The building opened in 1855 as the county courthouse and jail, and over the years staff have reported odd moments they couldn’t explain: strange sounds, chills and a feeling of not being alone. In 2011 a local paranormal group was invited in for a look, and they came away convinced some old inmates never checked out.* Next time you’re downtown, maybe give the towers a wave.
*The jail history is real. The haunting is local legend, disputed and unproven.

That’s it for today, Milton. Stay cozy, go see some spooky houses, and we’ll see you Friday!
